    Durability matters.

With so many individual events, track & field and cross country tents require space for many team members. This can exceed 100 athletes at the larger high schools and universities!  Athletes of all levels need the cool shade provided by track and field tents to stretch, observe, and recuperate during long summer meets.

Custom track & field and cross country tents are an amenity on the rise in numerous amateur, professional, regional, and international competitions. BuyShade’s track tents are rugged enough to transport to all your regional and international track meetings and sophisticated enough to display at a world championship.

What canopy size does my team need?

    10×10 and 8×12

    Team Size

10×10 and 8×12 tents are best suited for small teams or teams that need a point of presence for athletes to meet at.

    Recommended Team Size:

    • 5 to 10  Elementary or Middle School Students
    • 5 to 8 High School or Adult Athletes

    Pros and Cons

The 10×10 and 8×12 sized tents have the most versatility, but given their smaller size can have a few drawbacks as well.

    Pros:

    • 10×10 is the most common size, and has the most frame options.
    • Most budget friendly E-Z UP sizes.
    • Easier for students and faculty to transport.

    Cons:

    • Does not scale well with team growth.
    • 8×12 Speed Shelter tents are slightly shorter than standard sizes, which can be sometimes challenging for taller students and adults.

    10×15

    Team Size

10×15 tents are a little unusual for most industries except sports, where this size can be a great asset for larger teams, or teams that want additional space for coolers, booster staff, and tables.

    Recommended Team Size:

    • 10 to 20  Elementary or Middle School Students
    • 10 to 15 High School or Adult Athletes

    Pros and Cons

The 10×15 sized tent is a great alternative to buying multiple tents or having to spring for a 10×20 that may be too large, but it is a niche size within athletics.

    Pros:

    • 10×15 tents still use a four-leg frame – easy to collapse down for transport.
    • Large tent peak for logo graphics.
    • More space for  coaches, support staff, and personal items.

    Cons:

    • Can be difficult for some small teams to transport.

    10×20

    Team Size

10×20 tents are the largest pop-ups available, and definitely the most popular for large teams. Providing plenty of shade for your athletes to warm up, this is what we typically recommend for middle schools and high schools, and always what we recommend for colleges and universities.

    Recommended Team Size:

    • 18 to 25  Elementary or Middle School Students
    • 15 to 20 High School or Adult Athletes

    Pros and Cons

The 10×20 tent is the largest tent size available as an E-Z UP pop-up, which can be great but also challenging for some.

    Pros:

    • 10×20 tents use a six-leg frame – collapses down into a single unit.
    • Large tent peak for logo graphics.
    • Can be set up with just two people.
    • Only uses professional grade frames.

    Cons:

    • Can be difficult for some small teams to transport – requires a truck, bus, or SUV with plenty of carrying space.
    • This is a big tent – having a couple of adults, a roller bag, or a hand cart really helps!
